BLUE ON BLACK series

Here is a series in which I explore heavily-textured paintings, even with corrugated cardboard collage Numbers 1 to 4)! I have explored different and vibrant blues with sweeping brush strokes to convey movement combined with a brooding black space (that gives me a sense of shadows that are creeping in as the light disappears). These paintings leap off the walls because they are so vibrant and powerful. In contrast, I also have experimented with toned down shades combined with a more living, organic texture (Number 5).
