COMMISSIONS

This example is 2.8m wide and 1.5m high. It is a powerfurful piece matching the room's décor of browns, reds, oranges and a muted blue.  The room is in a converted barn with high ceilings and exposed timber beams, which is well matched by the painting. There is intrigue in the myriad of different shapes, textures, light and dark tones, so that the viewer could see something different every time they looked at the painting. The empty space in the centre leads the viewer into the painting. The painting is called “Away” which infers a place or a journey and reflected my whimsical mood at the time.
